Special District Local Laws Code § 8506.059","heading":"CONFLICT OF INTEREST; CRIMINAL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A director, officer, agent, or employee of the authority may not be directly or indirectly interested in a contract for the purchase of any property or construction of any work by or for the authority.\n(b) A person commits an offense if the person violates this section. An offense under this subsection is a felony punishable by:\n(1) a fine not to exceed $10,000;\n(2) confinement in the institutional division of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice for not less than one year or more than 10 years; or\n(3) both the fine and confinement.\nAdded by Acts 2015, 84th Leg., R.S., Ch. 855 (S.B. 1162), Sec. 1.05, eff.
