Special District Local Laws Code § 8510.0408","heading":"NOTICE OF RIGHT TO APPEAL CHANGES TO RATES.","body":"(a) In this section, \"affected person\" has the meaning assigned by Section 13.002, Water Code.\n(b) The authority shall notify affected persons of their right to appeal changes to rates:\n(1) in notices related to changes to rates;\n(2) in utility bills sent before the deadline for initiating an appeal under Chapter 13, Water Code; and\n(3) on the authority's website.\n(c) The notice required by Subsection (b) must include descriptions of:\n(1) the appeals process;\n(2) the requirements for an appeal, including the number of signatures needed on a petition; and\n(3) the methods available for obtaining additional information related to rates.\nAdded by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 914 (H.B. 3530), Sec. 1.03, eff.
