Special District Local Laws Code § 8511.0402","heading":"CIVIL PENALTY; INJUNCTIVE RELIEF.","body":"(a) A person who violates an authority rule or order is subject to a civil penalty of not less than $50 or more than $1,000 for each day of violation.\n(b) The authority may sue to recover the penalty in a district court in the county in which the violation occurred. A penalty shall be paid to the authority.\n(c) The authority may sue for injunctive relief in a district court in the county in which a violation of a rule or order occurred or is threatened.\n(d) The authority may sue for injunctive relief and a penalty in the same proceeding.\nAdded by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 914 (H.B. 3530), Sec. 1.03, eff.
