Special District Local Laws Code § 8511.0702","heading":"POWER TO APPLY FOR MONEY FOR ENGINEERING SURVEYS, INFORMATION COMPILATION AND COLLECTION, AND OTHER PURPOSES.","body":"(a) The authority may apply to any person, including this state and the United States, for money necessary to:\n(1) secure engineering surveys and the compilation and collection of information relating to regional and general conditions entering into and influencing the character and extent of the improvements necessary to accomplish the storage, control, transportation, treatment, conservation, and equitable distribution to the greatest public advantage of the floodwater, normal flow water, and storm water that is stored and controlled; or\n(2) accomplish or carry out any purpose of this chapter.\n(b) The authority:\n(1) shall request an amount it considers sufficient;\n(2) may make the necessary agreements with the party providing the money; and\n(3) may appropriate the amount of the estimated equitable contribution of the costs of developing essential engineering information.\nAdded by Acts 2021, 87th Leg., R.S., Ch. 914 (H.B. 3530), Sec. 1.03, eff.
