Special District Local Laws Code § 8512.0206","heading":"VOTING REQUIREMENT.","body":"Text of section effective on April 01, 2027\n(a) Except as provided by this chapter or the bylaws, the board may take action by the affirmative vote of a majority of the directors present at a meeting.\n(b) The following are valid only if authorized or ratified by the affirmative vote of at least five directors:\n(1) a contract that involves an amount greater than $100,000 or has a duration of more than one year;\n(2) a bond or other evidence of indebtedness; or\n(3) an amendment of the bylaws.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 203 (H.B. 1615), Sec. 1.02, eff.
