Special District Local Laws Code § 8513.0102","heading":"NATURE OF AUTHORITY.","body":"(a) The authority is a conservation and reclamation district under Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution.\n(b) The authority's creation is essential to accomplish the purposes of Section 59, Article XVI, Texas Constitution, including:\n(1) construction, maintenance, and operation of navigable canals and waterways; and\n(2) control of the waters of all rivers, streams, and tributaries of rivers and streams inside the authority.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 240 (H.B. 2692), Sec. 1, eff.
