Special District Local Laws Code § 8513.0328","heading":"AUTHORITY CONSTABULARY.","body":"(a) The authority may constitute and maintain an independent constabulary.\n(b) A constabulary constituted under this section is subject to the oath and bond requirements of a county sheriff under Section 85.001, Local Government Code.\n(c) A constabulary shall police authority property and facilities controlled by the authority.\n(d) A constabulary may make arrests:\n(1) to prevent injury to authority property and facilities controlled by the authority or for a violation of a penal ordinance of the authority; and\n(2) inside or outside the authority, upon complaint or indictment for a violation of a penal ordinance of the authority.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 240 (H.B. 2692), Sec. 1, eff.
