Special District Local Laws Code § 8807.101","heading":"PRODUCTION FEES.","body":"(a) The district may assess reasonable fees on each well in the district. The fee:\n(1) must be based on the amount of water withdrawn from the well; and\n(2) may not exceed 5 cents per 1,000 gallons of groundwater withdrawn for any purpose.\n(b) This section does not apply to:\n(1) a well used exclusively for agriculture, as defined by Section 36.001, Water Code; or\n(2) an exempt well under Section 8807.102.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 863 (S.B. 1017), Sec. 1, eff.
