Special District Local Laws Code § 8814.059","heading":"OFFICERS.","body":"(a) After each directors' election, the board shall:\n(1) hold a regular meeting at the district office; and\n(2) organize by electing from the directors a president, a vice president, and a secretary.\n(b) A person selected to serve as president, vice president, or secretary serves in that capacity for a two-year term.\n(c) The president, vice president, and secretary shall perform the duties and may exercise the powers specifically provided by this chapter or by order of the board.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.05, eff.
