Special District Local Laws Code § 8814.061","heading":"TREASURER AND ATTORNEY.","body":"(a) The board may appoint a treasurer and an attorney for the district.\n(b) The person appointed as treasurer shall execute a bond in the amount determined by the board, payable to the district, conditioned on the faithful performance of the treasurer's duties. The district shall pay for the bond.\n(c) A person appointed under this section is entitled to the compensation provided by the district's budget.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.05, eff.
