Special District Local Laws Code § 8834.117","heading":"AUTHORITY TO ISSUE SUBPOENAS AND ADMINISTER OATHS.","body":"(a) The board may issue a subpoena to compel the testimony of a person or the production of a document if the testimony or document is necessary to carry out the board's powers, duties, and functions under this chapter.\n(b) On application by the board, a district court shall enforce a subpoena issued under Subsection (a) in the same manner as a subpoena issued by the court.\n(c) The board may administer an oath to a person who testifies before the board.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 1139 (H.B. 2619), Sec. 1.05, eff.
