Special District Local Laws Code § 8843.154","heading":"BUDGET.","body":"(a) The district shall annually:\n(1) prepare a budget showing proposed expenditures and disbursements and estimated receipts and collections for the next fiscal year; and\n(2) hold a public hearing on the proposed budget.\n(b) The district must publish notice of the hearing at least once in a newspaper of general circulation in the county not later than the 10th day before the date of the hearing.\n(c) A taxpayer of the district is entitled to appear at the hearing to be heard regarding any item in the proposed budget.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.03, eff.
