Special District Local Laws Code § 8851.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be qualified to be a candidate for or to serve as director at large, a person must be a registered voter in the district.\n(b) To be qualified to be a candidate for or to serve as director from a county commissioners precinct, a person must be a registered voter of that precinct.\n(c) To be qualified to be a candidate for or to serve as director from a municipality, a person must be a registered voter of that municipality.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 70 (S.B. 1147), Sec. 1.03, eff.
