Special District Local Laws Code § 8864.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To qualify as a candidate for or serve as director at large, a person must be:\n(1) at least 18 years of age;\n(2) a resident of the district; and\n(3) a registered voter in the district.\n(b) To be a candidate for or serve as director from a county commissioners precinct, a person must be:\n(1) at least 18 years of age;\n(2) a resident of that precinct; and\n(3) a registered voter of that precinct.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.05, eff.
