Special District Local Laws Code § 8864.055","heading":"BOARD VACANCY.","body":"(a) The board shall appoint a replacement to fill a vacancy in the office of any director.\n(b) The appointed replacement serves until the next directors' election.\n(c) If the position is not scheduled to be filled at the election, the person elected to fill the position serves only for the remainder of the unexpired term.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.05, eff.
