Special District Local Laws Code § 8873.003","heading":"CONFIRMATION ELECTION REQUIRED.","body":"If the creation of the district is not confirmed at a confirmation election held under Section 8873.023 before September 1, 2015:\n(1) the district is dissolved on September 1, 2015, except that:\n(A) any debts incurred shall be paid;\n(B) any assets that remain after the payment of debts shall be transferred to each county in proportion to the contribution of money made; and\n(C) the organization of the district shall be maintained until all debts are paid and remaining assets are transferred; and\n(2) this chapter expires September 1, 2017.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 496 (S.B. 1840), Sec. 1, eff.
