Special District Local Laws Code § 8874.054","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be qualified to be a candidate for or to serve as director at large, a person must be a registered voter in the district.\n(b) To be a candidate for or to serve as director from a county commissioners precinct, a person must be a registered voter of that precinct, except as provided by Section 8874.052(d).\n(c) A person is not eligible to serve as a director unless the person owns land in the district.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 467 (S.B. 1012), Sec. 1, eff.
