Special District Local Laws Code § 8876.003","heading":"CONFIRMATION ELECTION REQUIRED.","body":"If the creation of the district is not confirmed at a confirmation election held under Section 8876.022 before December 31, 2018:\n(1) the district is dissolved December 31, 2018, except that:\n(A) any debts incurred shall be paid;\n(B) any assets that remain after the payment of debts shall be transferred to Reeves County; and\n(C) the organization of the district shall be maintained until all debts are paid and remaining assets are transferred; and\n(2) this chapter expires December 31, 2020.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 457 (S.B. 890), Sec. 1, eff.
