Special District Local Laws Code § 9015.003","heading":"FINDINGS OF BENEFIT AND PUBLIC PURPOSE.","body":"(a) All territory and taxable property in the authority will benefit from the works and improvements of the authority.\n(b) The accomplishment of the purposes stated in this chapter, including the use, for municipal and industrial purposes, of stored water that otherwise would be wasted into the Gulf, is for the benefit of the people of this state and for the improvement of their property and industries.\n(c) In carrying out the purposes of this chapter, the authority will be performing an essential public function under the constitution.\nAdded by Acts 2007, 80th Leg., R.S., Ch. 920 (H.B. 3166), Sec. 1.12, eff.
