Special District Local Laws Code § 9033.054","heading":"DUTY OF SECRETARY; ABSENCE OF SECRETARY FROM BOARD MEETING.","body":"(a) The board secretary shall sign the minutes of each board meeting.\n(b) If the board secretary is absent from a board meeting, the board shall name a secretary pro tem for the meeting who may:\n(1) exercise all powers and duties of the secretary for the meeting;\n(2) sign the minutes of the meeting; and\n(3) attest all orders passed or other action taken at the meeting.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 112 (S.B. 1026), Sec. 1.06, eff.
