Special District Local Laws Code § 9601.052","heading":"QUALIFICATIONS FOR OFFICE.","body":"(a) To be eligible to be appointed or to serve as a director, a person must be a resident, qualified voter of the district.\n(b) A person is not eligible to be appointed or to serve as a director while the person:\n(1) is serving as an elected official of a political subdivision or other governmental body; or\n(2) is an employee of a member.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 523 (S.B. 1223), Sec. 1, eff.
