Transportation Code § 1001.013","heading":"PERFORMANCE OF CERTAIN DEPARTMENT FUNCTIONS BY AUTHORIZED BUSINESS.","body":"(a) The executive director of the department may authorize a business entity to perform a department function in accordance with rules adopted under Subsection (b).\n(b) The board by rule shall prescribe:\n(1) the classification types of businesses that are authorized to perform certain department functions;\n(2) the duties and obligations of an authorized business;\n(3) the type and amount of any bonds that may be required for a business to perform certain functions; and\n(4) the fees that may be charged or retained by a business authorized under this section.\nAdded by Acts 2013, 83rd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1135 (H.B. 2741), Sec. 136, eff.
