Transportation Code § 174.051","heading":"CREATION OF DISTRICT.","body":"(a) A district may be created to provide commuter rail service to counties along the Texas-Mexico border.\n(b) The commissioners court of a county may create a commuter rail district on adoption of an order favoring the creation.\n(c) Notwithstanding Subsections (a) and (b), a district may not be created in the boundaries of a regional transit authority under Chapter 463.\nAdded by Acts 2009, 81st Leg., R.S., Ch. 85 (S.B. 1540), Sec. 2.04, eff.
