Transportation Code § 191.002","heading":"DISTANCE OF STRUCTURES AND MATERIALS FROM TRACKS.","body":"(a) A loading platform, house, fence, or other structure built, and lumber, wood, or other material placed, along a railroad in this state, either on or near the right-of-way of a main line or on or near a spur, switch, or siding of the railroad, shall be built or placed so that the nearest edge of the platform, the wall of the building, or the material is at least 8-1/2 feet from the center of the main line, spur, switch, or siding.\n(b) The edge of a roof projection from a loading platform along a railroad main track, siding track, spur, or switch shall be at least 8-1/2 feet horizontally from the center of the track.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 91 (S.B. 1303), Sec. 24.101, eff.
