Transportation Code § 204.008","heading":"PRODUCTION, MARKETING, AND DISTRIBUTION CONTRACTS.","body":"(a) The department may contract with a private entity to produce, market, and distribute material published under Sections 204.001-204.006 on the terms, including terms providing cost savings, the department considers beneficial to this state.\n(b) A contract may:\n(1) include cooperative strategies the department considers to provide cost benefits; and\n(2) provide for acceptance of paid advertising in the material if the quality and quantity of the material are maintained.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1276, Sec. 16.001(a), eff.
