Transportation Code § 225.243 (6)","heading":"CAPTAIN KEVIN WILLIAMS AND FIREFIGHTER AUSTIN CHEEK MEMORIAL HIGHWAY.","body":"Text of section as added by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 231 (S.B. 682), Sec. 1\nSee also other Secs. 225.243 added by the 89th Legislature.\n(a) The portion of Farm-to-Market Road 2493 in Smith County between its intersection with Church Street in Flint and its intersection with County Road 150 is designated as the Captain Kevin Williams and Firefighter Austin Cheek Memorial Highway.\n(b) Subject to Section 225.021(c), the department shall:\n(1) design and construct markers indicating the designation as the Captain Kevin Williams and Firefighter Austin Cheek Memorial Highway and any other appropriate information; and\n(2) erect a marker at each end of the highway and at appropriate intermediate sites along the highway.\nAdded by Acts 2025, 89th Leg., R.S., Ch. 231 (S.B. 682), Sec. 1, eff.
