Transportation Code § 284.0615","heading":"DECLARATION OF TAKING BY CERTAIN COUNTIES.","body":"(a) This section applies only to a county with a population of 3.3 million or more.\n(b) If, in connection with a project under this chapter, the commissioners court of the county authorizes the county to proceed in the manner provided by Section 203.066:\n(1) the county may file a declaration of taking and proceed in the manner provided by that section on the project; and\n(2) a reference to the department in that section means the county.\nAdded by Acts 2005, 79th Leg., Ch. 281 (H.B. 2702), Sec. 2.53, eff.
