Transportation Code § 342.103","heading":"ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.","body":"(a) The commissioners court shall approve an application for a license to operate a ferry for hire if the applicant:\n(1) shows that the applicant owns the land on which the ferry is to be established; and\n(2) satisfies the court that the public convenience will be promoted by operation of the ferry.\n(b) The commissioners court shall issue the license when the applicant:\n(1) executes a bond in accordance with Section 342.104; and\n(2) presents a receipt from the county treasurer for payment of the license fee imposed under Section 342.104.\n(c) A license issued under this section expires on the first anniversary of the date it is issued and may be renewed annually.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
