Transportation Code § 363.004","heading":"SURETY BOND; ACTION ON BOND.","body":"(a) Before granting a license to a contractor to construct a toll bridge, the commissioners court shall require a bond in the amount of $1,000 with a good and sufficient surety. The bond shall be conditioned on:\n(1) the construction of the bridge by the contractor; and\n(2) the maintenance of the bridge by the contractor for the agreed term.\n(b) A person who sustains damage because a contractor has not complied with the conditions of the bond may:\n(1) sue the contractor on the bond; and\n(2) recover any judgment for damages.\n(c) A suit for damages under this section shall be brought in the county in which the license is granted.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
