Transportation Code § 394.042","heading":"FACE RESTRICTIONS.","body":"(a) The face area of an on-premise sign may not be larger than 400 square feet, including a cutout but excluding an upright, trim, or apron.\n(b) The face area of an off-premise sign may not be larger than 672 square feet, excluding a cutout, upright, trim, or apron.\n(c) The cutout area of an off-premise or on-premise sign may not be larger than 20 percent of the sign's surface copy area.\n(d) This section does not apply to:\n(1) a sign that advertises the sale or lease of property on which the sign is located; or\n(2) an on-premise wall sign.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
