Transportation Code § 396.022","heading":"LOCATION OF YARD.","body":"(a) A junkyard or an automotive wrecking and salvage yard may not be located:\n(1) within 50 feet of the right-of-way of a public street or state highway; or\n(2) within 50 feet of the nearest property line of a residence.\n(b) A person may not accumulate or stack materials associated with a junkyard or an automotive wrecking and salvage yard higher than eight feet above ground level.\n(c) This section does not apply to a junkyard or an automotive wrecking and salvage yard used only for farm equipment.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
