Transportation Code § 452.541","heading":"BOARD MEMBERSHIP: RESIDENCY IN AUTHORITY.","body":"(a) Except as provided by Subsection (b), a member of a subregional board must be a qualified voter residing in the authority.\n(b) An individual who does not reside in the authority may be appointed to the board under Section 452.562(c)(1) if the individual is a qualified voter of and resides in a municipality that:\n(1) has entered into a contract with the authority to receive services; and\n(2) has adopted a sales tax to participate in the funding of a transportation project being planned, developed, or operated by the authority.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
