Transportation Code § 501.135","heading":"RECORD OF STOLEN OR CONCEALED MOTOR VEHICLE.","body":"(a) The department shall:\n(1) make a record of each report to the department that a motor vehicle registered in this state has been stolen or concealed in violation of Section 32.33, Penal Code; and\n(2) note the fact of the report in the department's records.\n(b) A person who reports a motor vehicle as stolen or concealed under Subsection (a) shall notify the department promptly if the vehicle is recovered, and the department shall change its records accordingly.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
