Transportation Code § 501.173","heading":"ELECTRONIC TITLING SYSTEM.","body":"(a) The board by rule may implement an electronic titling system.\n(b) A record of title maintained electronically by the department in the titling system is the official record of vehicle ownership unless the owner requests that the department issue a printed title.\n(c) In addition to other title fees, the board by rule may set a fee to be assessed for the issuance of a paper title to cover the cost of administering the electronic titling system.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1290 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 23, eff.
