Transportation Code § 501.175","heading":"RECORDING OF DOCUMENTS.","body":"(a) Under the titling system, the department may:\n(1) receive, index, store, archive, and transmit electronic documents;\n(2) provide for access to, and for search and retrieval of, documents and information by electronic means; and\n(3) convert into electronic form:\n(A) paper documents that it accepts for the titling of a motor vehicle; and\n(B) information recorded and documents that were accepted for the titling of a motor vehicle before the titling system was implemented.\n(b) The department shall continue to accept paper documents after the titling system is implemented.\nAdded by Acts 2011, 82nd Leg., R.S., Ch. 1290 (H.B. 2017), Sec. 23, eff.
