Transportation Code § 504.601","heading":"GENERAL PROVISIONS APPLICABLE TO SPECIALTY LICENSE PLATES FOR GENERAL DISTRIBUTION.","body":"(a) Unless expressly provided by this subchapter or department rule:\n(1) the fee for issuance of a license plate under this subchapter is $30; and\n(2) of each fee received under this subchapter, the department shall use $8 to defray its administrative costs in complying with this subchapter.\n(b) This section does not apply to a specialty license plate marketed and sold by a private vendor at the request of the specialty license plate sponsor under Section 504.6011.\nAdded by Acts 2003, 78th Leg., ch. 1320, Sec. 6, eff.
