Transportation Code § 521.348","heading":"AUTOMATIC REVOCATION FOR CERTAIN SEX OFFENDERS AND TERRORISTS.","body":"(a) A driver's license is automatically revoked if the holder of the license:\n(1) is subject to the registration requirements of Chapter 62 or 65, Code of Criminal Procedure; and\n(2) fails to apply to the department for renewal of the license as required by Article 62.060, 62.2021, or 65.058, Code of Criminal Procedure, as applicable.\n(b) The department may issue a driver's license to a person whose license is revoked under this section only if the person:\n(1) applies for an original or renewal license under Section 521.272; and\n(2) is otherwise qualified for the license.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 1401, Sec. 9, eff.
