Transportation Code § 522.082","heading":"REINSTATEMENT FOLLOWING DISQUALIFICATION FOR LIFE.","body":"(a) The department may adopt rules establishing guidelines, including conditions, under which a person disqualified for life under Section 522.081(d)(1) may apply to the department for reinstatement of the person's commercial driver's license, if authorized under federal law.\n(b) A person is not eligible for reinstatement unless the person has been disqualified for at least 10 years and meets the department's conditions for reinstatement.\n(c) If a reinstated driver is subsequently convicted of another disqualifying offense as specified by Section 522.081(b), the person is permanently disqualified and is not eligible for reinstatement.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
