Transportation Code § 542.403","heading":"FINES.","body":"(a) In addition to other costs, the court shall order a person convicted of a misdemeanor under this subtitle to pay a fine of $3.\n(b) The officer who collects a fine under this section shall:\n(1) deposit in the municipal treasury a fine collected in a municipal court case; and\n(2) deposit in the county treasury a fine collected in a justice court case or in a county court case, including a case appealed from a justice or municipal court.\n(c) In this section, \"conviction\" has the meaning assigned by Section 133.101, Local Government Code.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
