{"data":{"id":"us-tx/tex.-transportation-code-547.7011","jurisdiction":"us-tx","citation":"Tex. Transportation Code § 547.7011","heading":"ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR OTHER BUSES.","body":"(a) A bus, other than a school bus, that provides public transportation and that was acquired on or after September 1, 1997, shall be equipped with two or more hazard lamps that:\n(1) are mounted at the same level on the rear of the bus;\n(2) are visible at a distance of 500 feet in normal sunlight;\n(3) flash; and\n(4) emit amber light.\n(b) An operator of a bus to which this section applies shall activate the hazard lamps if the bus stops to load or unload a person under 18 years of age.\n(c) A bus to which this section applies must bear a sign on the rear of the bus stating: \"Caution--children may be exiting\".\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 1131, Sec. 1, eff.
