Transportation Code § 601.008","heading":"VIOLATION OF CHAPTER; OFFENSE.","body":"(a) A person commits an offense if the person violates a provision of this chapter for which a penalty is not otherwise provided.\n(b) An offense under this section is a misdemeanor punishable by:\n(1) a fine not to exceed $500;\n(2) confinement in county jail for a term not to exceed 90 days; or\n(3) both the fine and the confinement.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
