Transportation Code § 623.016","heading":"RECOVERY ON PERMIT SECURITY.","body":"(a) A county may recover on the bond or letter of credit required for a permit issued under Section 623.011 only by a suit against the permit holder and the issuer of the bond or letter of credit.\n(b) Venue for a suit under this section is in district court in:\n(1) the county in which the defendant resides;\n(2) the county in which the defendant has its principal place of business in this state; or\n(3) the county in which the damage occurred.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
