Transportation Code § 643.156","heading":"REGULATION OF ADVERTISING.","body":"(a) The department may not by rule restrict competitive bidding or advertising by a motor carrier except to prohibit false, misleading, or deceptive practices.\n(b) A rule to prohibit false, misleading, or deceptive practices may not:\n(1) restrict the use of:\n(A) any medium for an advertisement;\n(B) a motor carrier's advertisement under a trade name; or\n(C) a motor carrier's personal appearance or voice in an advertisement, if the motor carrier is an individual; or\n(2) relate to the size or duration of an advertisement by a motor carrier.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 62, Sec. 17.20(a), eff.
