Transportation Code § 644.001","heading":"DEFINITIONS.","body":"In this chapter:\n(1) \"Commercial motor vehicle\" means:\n(A) a commercial motor vehicle as defined by 49 C.F.R. Section 390.5, if operated interstate; or\n(B) a commercial motor vehicle as defined by Section 548.001, if operated intrastate.\n(2) \"Department\" means the Department of Public Safety.\n(3) \"Director\" means the public safety director.\n(4) \"Federal hazardous material regulation\" means a federal regulation in 49 C.F.R. Parts 101-199.\n(5) \"Federal motor carrier safety regulation\" means a federal regulation in Subtitle A, Title 49, or Subchapter B, Chapter III, Subtitle B, Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations.\n(6) \"Federal safety regulation\" means a federal hazardous material regulation or a federal motor carrier safety regulation.\n(7) \"Port of entry\" has the meaning assigned by Section 621.001.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 30.151(a), eff.
