Transportation Code § 644.152","heading":"CIVIL PENALTY.","body":"(a) A person who does not permit an inspection authorized by Section 644.104 is liable to the state for a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed $1,000.\n(b) The attorney general may sue to collect the penalty in:\n(1) the county in which the violation is alleged to have occurred; or\n(2) Travis County.\n(c) The penalty provided by this section is in addition to the penalty provided by Section 644.151.\n(d) Each day a person refuses to permit an inspection described by Subsection (a) is a separate violation for purposes of imposing a penalty.\nAdded by Acts 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 30.151(a), eff.
