Transportation Code § 8.002","heading":"EFFECT OF PROCLAMATION.","body":"(a) On the issuance of a proclamation under this chapter, the governor shall exercise complete police jurisdiction over the territory described by the proclamation. The exercise of police jurisdiction by the governor supersedes the police authority of a local authority.\n(b) The governor may not disturb the exercise of police jurisdiction by a local authority outside the territory described by the proclamation.\nActs 1995, 74th Leg., ch. 165, Sec. 1, eff.
