Utilities Code § 13.021","heading":"APPOINTMENT; TERM.","body":"(a) The chief executive of the office is the counsellor.\n(b) The counsellor is appointed by the governor with the advice and consent of the senate.\n(c) The appointment of the counsellor shall be made without regard to the race, color, disability, sex, religion, age, or national origin of the appointee.\n(d) The counsellor serves a two-year term that expires on February 1 of the final year of the term.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 166, Sec. 1, eff.
