Utilities Code § 251.055","heading":"BOARD OF DIRECTORS.","body":"(a) The board of directors of the corporation is composed of the following 12 members appointed by the governor:\n(1) six representatives of the general public;\n(2) one representative of the gas industry;\n(3) one representative of the telecommunications industry;\n(4) one representative of the electric industry;\n(5) one representative of cable television companies;\n(6) one representative of municipalities; and\n(7) one representative of persons who engage in excavation operations who are not also facility operators.\n(b) Board membership is voluntary and a director is not entitled to receive compensation for serving on the board.\nAdded by Acts 1999, 76th Leg., ch. 62, Sec. 18.17(a), eff.
