Utilities Code § 55.128","heading":"DURATION OF RECORDED MESSAGE.","body":"A person may not use an automated dial announcing device to make for solicitation purposes a telephone call in which the device plays a recorded message when the connection is completed unless:\n(1) the recorded message is shorter than 30 seconds; or\n(2) the device has the technical capacity to:\n(A) recognize a telephone answering device on the called person's line; and\n(B) terminate the call within 30 seconds.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 166, Sec. 1, eff.
