Utilities Code § 60.004","heading":"APPLICABILITY TO CERTAIN SMALLER INCUMBENT LOCAL EXCHANGE COMPANIES; RULES.","body":"(a) Subchapters B, C, and H may be applied to an incumbent local exchange company that serves fewer than 31,000 access lines only on a bona fide request from a certificated telecommunications utility.\n(b) In applying the rules adopted under Subchapters B, C, and H to a company described by Subsection (a), the commission may modify the rules in the public interest.\n(c) This section takes effect September 1, 1998.\nActs 1997, 75th Leg., ch. 166, Sec. 1, eff.
